About Morgan Banks Jewellers

Our story began in 1935, when George Banks set up George Banks Jewellers on Lune Street, Preston. His son, Brian Banks, later took over the business, and in time Peter and his siblings ran George Banks Jewellers together, carrying the family trade forward.

In 2009, Peter set out on his own — opening a shop in Kendal on Finkle Street as Peter George Banks. We moved to our current home at 1 Market Place in 2015, and in 2019 we rebranded to Morgan Banks for a fresh new look, while holding on to everything that came before it.

More than 90 years on, we're still a family business at heart — friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. When you walk through our doors, you're getting the same trusted advice that's been passed down through generations, not a sales script.

What we offer

From engagement rings and eternity bands to watches from Boss, Seiko, Mondaine and more, we stock pieces to suit every taste and budget. We're also proud to offer a curated range of pre-owned luxury watches — fully checked and ready to wear — alongside beautiful branded jewellery from ChloBo, Thomas Sabo, Coeur de Lion and other names we've hand-picked over the years.

Beyond new pieces, our in-house workshop handles watch repairs, servicing, valuations, and jewellery remodelling — because a piece with sentimental value deserves expert hands, not a quick fix.
